ZU Cable Mobius Senn MK2
The original Mobius was launched the fall of 2003. Four years later Zu announces the hot new Mobius
Two. Most Sennheiser 600 and 650 users loved the sound of the mobius, improved the overall resolution
and tone over the stock cable. But the cable was a bit fat, was stiff and had higher handling noise than the stock cable. Zu also had some connection problems, mating a precision machined aluminum connector
with the plastic phones caused some problems. So what is new, everything but the Neutrik phone plug! New cable, new super low noise sheathing, new aluminum connector body that fits and stays there, new press-sinter copper pins, new solder-free cold-forged pin termination. It’s lighter, tougher, super duper flexible
and it sounds better, retaining the resolution and extension of the old cable, but with a more natural prese-
ntation of timbre and texture. Yep, this new cable is the right cable for the Senn 6xx phones!
- Redesigned aluminum connector friction fits with the inner socket making a firm
connection with all Sennheiser 600 series phones.
- New press-sinter-infiltrated machined copper pins.
- New cable-to-pin cold-forge system eliminates the solder tabs of the original.
(Zu hates the sound of solder.)
- New cable (B3/g), made in-house, preserves all the good qualities of the original
while reducing weight and becoming flexible.
- New internal carbon fiber leadout shell, to lower static buildup.
- Replaced techflex sheath with high carbon loaded, very high strand count textile
sheathing.
- Engineered leadout sheath to absorb handling noise—no more noise from cables
running against your collar....
- All connections are still fully epoxy potted.

Burn-in
Mobius cable does take a few days to shake out some of the grain and tiz, most however find it to be
a much better than stock with just a few hours of play. Don't worry about any special burn-in systems
or procedures, just listen and enjoy. Full burn-in is roughly 200 hours when played aggressively. Run-
ning your cans while not listing, player on repeat and amp powered up, isn't a bad idea either. We re-
commend some big rock and roll or big band stuff for burn-in program material. For a heavier sound
spin a lot of Spineshank, for a more etherial tone go with Future Sound Of London (this is humor, to
some of us anyway)
